Nursery GuidelinesWhen packing your child's diaper bag, please include the following items. Two or three disposable diapers. No cloth diapers, please. Pacifier or other item, should your child need it for security. A complete change of clothes in case your child would require that. A bottle or cup of milk, formula, juice or water. Please label all personal items with your child's first and last name.Wellness PolicyWe operate a well baby program. For the protection of all the children, we can not accept a child with a runny nose, fresh cold (four days or less), fever, persistent cough, diarrhea or any other signs of illness. We request that you not place your child in our program while they run the risk of exposing others. Thank you in advance for helping to keep all our children healthy!Check-InWhen you arrive at the nursery, our care providers will greet you at the nursery door to receive your child and his or her belongings. (Please label all personal belongings.) Please sign in on the clipboard and let the caregiver know any information that will help in caring for your child. This could include feeding instructions, sleeping times, allergies and special needs. If you are a first time visitor, please come to the Welcome table in the narthex and fill out a Children's Ministry registration form for your child. This information will help us to best care for your child. We are now using cell phones rather than pagers. Should your child need you, you will be called on your cell phone. Please remember to put your cell phone on vibrate before entering the sanctuary. If you are called, promptly return to the nursery. Be sure your up-to-date cell number is listed on the nursery sign-in sheet.Saying GoodbyeAfter you have completed the check in process, simply wave goodbye! It is normal for little ones to cry and it usually does not last long. Our care providers will try to create interest in a toy or activity and give assurance that you will return after the service. If your child cries for an extended period of time, we will call you.Checking On Your ChildFeel free to check on your child at anytime, however, we ask that you please be discreet as parents can be quite a distraction. There is a window in the hallway door to the nursery for you to peek in. Pick-up ProceduresChildren should be picked up promptly at the end of the service before you attend coffee hour in the narthex.SnacksSnacks are provided for the children in the nursery. These items include Cheerios, goldfish crackers and water. If your child has any allergies, please make a note on the sign in sheet and inform the caregivers.CurriculumEven the littlest can learn! Regular learning experiences are planned using songs, play and supervised activities. Our toddler classes experience age-appropriate Bible stories.
