"Give Up Something Bad for Lent"
by James W. Moore
Many follow the spiritual discipline of giving up something “good,” like chocolate or social media during Lent. This year, we are taking the challenge of examining things we would be better not doing in the first place, something “bad,” such as the habit of envy, procrastination, gossip, resentment or negative thinking. Using the book Give Up Something Bad for Lent as our guide, journey with God and others as we begin to put some of these unhelpful habits behind us and prepare to embrace the full good news of Easter. Lent begins Ash Wednesday, February 26. Copies of Give Up Something Bad for Lent are available around campus starting mid-February. Sign up to be a part of a small group below. Questions?
