Our history is long, and our love for Jesus is alive and thriving today. Our congregation began in Ridgefield in 1789 with circuit rider Jesse Lee, who helped spread the message of Methodism throughout New England. Ever since, Ridgefield’s Methodists have been at work to love others, serve others and share our joy in Jesus. Find out more about who we are. Travel with us on the journey to get to know Jesus, and what a difference He can make in all of our lives. You don't always need to agree with us. We just ask that you want to learn, and you are open to the possibilities of what God has planned for your life.
Jesse Lee has been called the Apostle of Methodism for opening New England to the teachings of John Wesley. Many churches in New England trace their roots to Lee and two churches in Connecticut are named for him. Learn more>>
